Michael Berkeley will introduce a wonderful programme of songs and ensemble works
by Beethoven, Haydn, Mahler, Korngold, Wellesz, Lenox Berkeley, Michael Berkeley,
Benjamin Britten and Akos Banlaky.
The performers are: Josipa Bainac (mezzosoprano),
Alexander Znamenskiy (viola) and David Hausknecht (piano).

Programme:
Beethoven Cello Sonatas event to benefit the Beethoven Piano Society of Europe.
In collaboration with the Beethoven Piano Society of Europe and the London Cello Society.

Cellists Selma Gokcen, Tamaki Sugimoto, Raphael Wallfisch, Oleg Kogan and Adrian Brendel
are partnered by Gwendolyn Mok and Julian Jacobson in this concert.
Hearing the five sonatas in a single evening will give the listener
a renewed sense of Beethoven's development from a forceful,
brilliant and original young inheritor of the tradition of Haydn and Mozart
to the prophetic visionary of the last two sonatas.

we are proud to present a very fine American-lranian pianist Sara Daneshpour,
the recent top Prizewinner of The Arthur Rubinstein Piano Masters Competition.
To open this evening's concert Oleg and Sara will perform the beautiful Vocalise by Rachmaninov.
